Ham Radio University
(January 2002)  As part of the ARRL New York City-Long Island Section Convention, this event brings hams from around the area for training and informational seminars. New York City ARES developed a presentation for the "Disaster Communications" seminar sponsored by our ARRL Section Emergency Coordinator Tom Carrubba, KA2D.

HRU 2002 is sponsored by the Great South Bay ARC and is a cooperative effort between over twenty clubs and organizations in the NYC-LI Section.

KB2SCS thumbnail John Blowsky, KB2SCS, had a good crowd on hand to watch the demonstration of his Automatic Picture Relay Network (APRN) software which send an APRS map with your SSTV images. The software is configurable to allow image updates to a web site via FTP for automatic site display. (N2TEE)
